I am a down to earth, results focused, executive coach, consultant/mentor and workplace trainer and deliver programs and services that add value to leadership, communication and change. I also have significant expertise is in stress management coaching and group training.

Executive Coaching style

  1. I use a solution-focused coaching model  which explores goals and current challenges in the client’s role
  2. We set agreed professional development goals, targets, action plans & accountability levels
  3. We explore behaviours and attitudes, knowledge of self, systems and culture and check in with motivation levels for hidden barriers to achievement
  4. We monitor and evaluate the learning to ensure the client sees value in the work we do together

What makes you a good coach? I provide consulting, coaching and training services, which add value to leadership, communication and change and my strength lies in understanding how people learn and how they encompass change.

I have a background and qualifications in Education and Human Resources Management which, supported by coaching accreditations, provide a sound methodology and practical insight into how to facilitate learning for personal and professional growth. I give people a respectful space to discuss challenges and explore new ways of thinking and behaving that improve their personal and professional performance.

I have a holistic approach, exploring the mind/heart/body connection so that the client works through challenges within the context of their values, beliefs and attitudes. We scope the program together to ensure that our work is relevant and meaningful to the client, and target specific development areas. We evaluate to ensure the client receives value from the engagement.

Key Personal experience/strengths/achievements you bring to coaching I am married with two adult children. I have lived through the stresses of raising children, whilst delivering to the management responsibilities and challenges of corporate life and have experienced how these can negatively impact workplace performance, relationships at work and at home, along with the increased risks to personal health. I am passionate about assisting people to realise how stress is impacting them and then enabling them to achieve optimal performance and optimal health.

Before moving into the field of Executive Coaching, I was responsible for large scale management and leadership development programs in the public transport sector.

My early career was in Education both as a high school teacher and Adult Migrant Education as a workplace trainer.

I have travelled extensively, Papua New Guinea, South East Asia, the Pacific and Europe

As a skipper of a yacht racing on Sydney Harbour, I understand the importance of visible leadership, building teamwork and effective communication.  [and dare I say, knowing the rules of the game.]
