In a series of forums we aim to bring together a group of HR & L&D Leaders from NSW Government to discuss current challenges, hear suggestions derived from the most recent industry trends and research, as well as suggestions from each other. It is an opportunity to network with your peers from the public sector in a small interactive setting.
On the 19th of May at 8.45am we will discuss the Performance Management Framework.
Most departments and agencies across the sector have started implementing this framework, but it’s not running smoothly everywhere yet. Are there systemic issues? Is it a lack of capability? Is it hard to translate the principles into practice? Or is there a feeling that the real benefits are yet to emerge?
We invite you to join us at an informal forum to discuss your successes or challenges, and exchange experiences with your peers from other departments and agencies. Places are limited, so make sure you register soon!

NSW Government has been dealing with ongoing change for a considerable time, and it’s not going to stop any time soon. Workforce reform related to the GSE Act 2013, senior executive transition, the NSW capability framework, new recruitment requirements, the performance development frame- work, the ethical framework; the list goes on. Most of these have been implemented or are on the way, but there are still a lot of questions and challenges left to be solved!
You can have the best framework, strategy and plans in the world, but if you don’t have the hearts and minds of the people engaged/involved, none of it comes to life.
In a series of forums we aim to bring together a group of HR, People and Culture, L&D, OD and Talent Leaders from NSW Government to discuss current challenges, hear insights and ideas about the most recent industry trends and from each other.
