Deeply experienced leadership coaches
Participants work with seasoned, experienced leadership coaches drawn from diverse professional backgrounds. Our coaches have experience working with ADF and APS across Defence and many are also:
Coaches are selected based on their expertise and matched to participants to specifically support their development goals.
Participants directly book their sessions with their coach so they have control over scheduling.
Depending on individual program specifics, participants have the opportunity to select their own coaches based on their bio and availability.
If a coach match is not suitable, participants will be reassigned to another coach once we understand what you need through direct 1:1 feedback interviews.
About the program creator
Developed by Simon Smith
Founder of Southern Cross Coaching & Development, Simon Smith has spent well over 30 years developing leaders across government, defence and corporate organisations.
A former British Royal Air Force officer, Simon later established SCC&D in 2006, which has grown into a multi-award-winning national and internationl leadership development and executive coaching organisation working with organisations across Australia, Asia and beyond.
Simon has been recognised with multiple industry awards including Coach of the Year (International Coach Federation Australia) and Mentor of the Year Gold Winner (International Titan Awards 2025).
